USM ranked one of the top snow contractors in North America
GIE Media's Snow Magazine released it's Top Contractor ranking in the September issue. USM was ranked second in all of North America!
How did Snow Magazine compile this year's list? Beginning in may, entry forms were distributed to North American snow removal contractors via the pages of Snow Magazine, fax and email, throughout their bi-weekly e-newsletter and from direct requests by their contributing editor. Once the nomination process closed in July, the completed forms were entered into a database, the numbers crunched and snow removal firms were organized according to their respective 2007-08 snow removal revenue.
USM Ranked One of the 100 Largest Landscape Firms
Lawn & Landscape magazine, the leading trade publication serving the professional lawn and landscape contractor industry, ranked USM as one of the top 25 landscape companies on its recently published Top 100 list. The list, published in Lawn & Landscape’s June issue, highlights the 100 largest companies in the fast-growing landscape industry based on 2007 year-end revenue. Companies on the list provide a range of green industry services including landscape maintenance, chemical lawn care/fertilization, landscape design/build/installation, irrigation installation/maintenance and tree and ornamental care.
Winner 2nd place Best of SPECS
USM was awarded 2nd place for Best of SPECS at the 2008 SPECS conference in Dallas, Texas. This honor is awarded based on the design and flow of the exhibit as well as the knowledge and expertise of the booth staff.

Congratulations Carl Nottberg, USM Senior Vice President of Operations, on winning PRSM's Vendor of the Year Award! This is PRSM's most prestigious award.
Carl Nottberg oversees the technical services operations of USM. One of the founding members of the PRSM Association, Carl brings 28 years of expertise to the industry. From mechanical and new construction to maintenance and energy management Carl has a vast array of FM experience from both the self perform and subcontractor models. In addition he was one of the pioneers in specializing in HVAC maintenance for chain store retailers. Mr. Nottberg has built USM's technical specialized service line from the ground up and has helped usher in a new era of providing USM’s clients with total facility solutions.
